I can't get on with these seats...

The metal runners in the side bolsters dug into the sides of my legs until I flattened them with a club hammer and a piece of 4 x 2.

The pedals are too high and too far back, so I can't set the seat right to be able to hit the brake in an emergncy and still fully depress the clutch.

If the seat is set low, my knee bounces off the door trim.

Audi say they can't help - does anyone else have similar problems or it is just me??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I have some of these problems. My B6 S4 has side bolsters which dig into my left thigh too much and the pedals are too far back. I've just learnt to live with it. Sorry.

Can't really help - Must admit I really like the seats in this model.

Only problem I have is that there seems to be too much adjustment, someone else drives, changes the seat/wheel it takes me the next 2-weeks to get it right again /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My A3 S-line seats are terrible.
No lumbar adjustment (which my previous '02 A4 had) and a real lack of support under the backs of the knees (I could tilt my A4 seats so that the front of the squab went under the back of my knees).
All my weight is on my ***,which makes long journeys far more painful than my A4.

Agree - They are the best seats I've ever had in a car .
The electric lumber is great to play about with on long journeys. Tilt - Thigh support - Height - a fantastic range of adjustment.

It's only me who drives the car so don't have the problem above /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So you're saying that the A4 S-line seats get electric lumbar support and a tilt facility ?

The A3 S-line seats have neither.

The electric lumbar is an option,I believe (perhaps not on S-line seats though,I'd have to check)

Hi guys...

I have a B7 SE with the option of Sport Seats....best money I have ever spent.!

Fabulous range of adjustment. The base tilt and electric lumbar adjustment are really great. Also the side bolsters are much better than the B6...I am on the big side and I fit perfectly....

I feel for you bowfer...I got an A3 with "sport seats" as a courtesy car today and I didn't manage to get comfortable at all!

Thanks for replys.

I'm a skinny bloke with long legs - maybe that's the point? My very tall and larger colleagues have sat in the car and say the seats are fine...

I think the quality of the S-line seats is poor, especially compared with my previous Audis - A100 CD, A90 20V, A80 16V, S6 2.2, A4 2.6SE. The seats in my Seat Leon Cupra R were better than the S-line seats (IMHO) and that car's cheap as chips!

I wrote to Audi AG this week... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/soap.gif
