cheers buddy - sorted it out with that
wierd system, removed the fuse tray, then the housing at the back, THEN the clip over the battery before it came out!!
ANy tips for getting that fuse box off of the top of the battery to allow removal?
have undon the clips to allow me in to undo the 10mm nut from the terminal - but cannot work out for the life of me to remove the fuse box to get it out!
Manual was as useful as a chocolate teapot...
cheers
i think im going to give it a go - i played around with my mates pda last nite with tom toms - so if vagcheck is any good then its a bargain diag + navigation in something that'll fit in the glovebox! Worst come to worst i buy a new vag com cable!!
cheers all
no thats the thing dave - i want to use a pda for convienience & size, but no vag-com for it, only vag check, which has the pda cable, so ive been told
i used VAG-COM on my golfs with a laptop, but always seemed to be a pain in the *** dragging the laptop out and into the car (maybe im being lazy) plus i gave the cable away with the last car.
so i ve got my eye on one of these PDA's -...
if theres no crunching, then linkages would be my guess esp if its more than one gear - i cant get 2nd gear, after speaking to the folks at TES a week or two ago they put it down to syncro (happened after my clutch went) and basically explained it as sminch did
eurocarparts - £37 each + the vat, ordering mine this w/end!
dont forget to put in the right year car details not your own or you'll end up with the same ones again
