Just an update, although very late I know. I have replaced my rear propshaft doughnut (massive help from BMH.01) and the silence is heaven.. Well worth doing just to stop that annoying rumble

Did you find anything out from your MOT? if it is your rear prop-shaft doughnut then have a look at this thread may be of help. Audi 55reg quattro load vibrating at 2 thousands revs

Have you Checked the rear prop-shaft donut? Mine has the same issue and there is a lot of play in the rubber donut, So I will be changing mine.
