It's a common thing with short journey's. Take it up the motorway for about 5-10 miles once a week should sort it out.

Ok thanks for clearing that up for me. Just some quick googling and I noticed a mark 4 golf estate PD 130 weighs around 1500kg and the A4 1450kg so lol? Ps the Audi is a 2003 and the golf was a 2004. Pps the estate is the same tax band and coupe.

Are you sure? Surely the A4 doesn't weigh much more? It causes more emissions? And are the engines the same? Thanks.
