I was facing a similar decision. I looked at the A6, Skoda superb, bmw 5 and Mercedes e class as would like a bit more boot space but settled on just buying my a4.
I would be buying my next car used and only a a6 appealed but from a dealer you end up paying say £20k for a car with a trade in...
I’m thinking of trading my 2016 A4 for a similarly aged A6.
I’ve got apple car play on my A4 so get Spotify with no issues.
Will Spotify work with the MMI system in a A6 as I understand they don’t come with apple car play?
Thanks
I’ve also noticed this on my S tronic and I’m a similar mileage. On a few occasions the lag is about twice as bad as usual. I put my foot down but nothing happens for what seems like an age. Definitely worse than the usual lag.
Keep meaning to book it in but in the past I’ve had Audi look at...
Very normal i’m afraid. I’ve got the same car as you and find the lag frustrating. Having driven other auto Audis it seems the petrol cars are better so maybe the fact it’s diesel is making it worse.
Popping gearbox into S mode as you approach a roundabout helps a bit but it’s just sonething...
Today I replaced the Bridgestone S001s that came with the car from the factory. They had
some wear left on them but decided to just get them done well before winter. I’ve done 20k miles. I have a Quattro.
I went for Goodyear eagle asymmetric 3s booked via Asda tyres. Got them fitted for £117...
Audi finally diagnosed the fault. It was a faulty battery so quite an easy fix. Seems fine so far so fingers crossed.
It felt great getting back into my car after a week in the Q2 loaner. Made me glad I specified adaptive comfort suspension on the A4 as the Q2 was a bit firm!
Mine fell down to 25% after about 7k and I got Audi to top it up for free as I wasn’t given a little bottle. It’s stayed on max ever since (now on 14k) so it was just the engine running in using up the oil. I’ve got the 218 ps diesel.
Note the indicator isn’t showing all the oil in the car just...
Ive been getting the warning message below appearing in yellow on the dashboard intermittently. Problem is it won’t do it when I take it into Audi and although it logs that the warning has occurred they can’t diagnose the fault hence cannot authorise a repair.
“Parking brake fault contact...
Totally agree on the above. My wife has a 430d Gran coupe and I had a 330d before my current a4
The stock bmw stereo was dreadful but the standard one in my a4 s line I’m my view isn’t far off the upgraded Harmon Kardon one in my wife’s 430d.
We always take my car when we go out as a family...
I agree with all your points as have the same issues. I feel a bit silly as forked out extra for the 3 litre but with that laggy gearbox I may as well have gone for the entry level engine.
You do get used to it (I came from a bmw) but it robs the car of fun. The work around I use is to pop...
I had something similar. Could it be this? It didn’t show up on diagnostics but it’s a well known issue
