DIY. No cost other than a wee half hr. My curb mark was slightly larger and using some wet and dry, scotchbrite and autosol increase the radius on the edge enough as remove damage and re-apply lacquer. Try this before shelling out any cash. Extremely difficult to find on my wheel.

Did you not want a skim cut or was the defect too deep? hence the polish. Why not polish the whole outer lip on a lathe and re-finish.

Welcome Killieboy. Not far from where I used to stay Catrine, now a wee tad nearer the sea.

Just a wee update on mine, still black and still shiny. Obviously not as noticeable as the chrome but definitely a new look with less maintenance

My decision was based on a new look and whether I wanted them black or filthy looking black.

Will try and get some more pics up tomorrow from the rear. No doubting your efforts but honestly give them a hit either side alternating hits and you will hear them slipping along and then just pull off.
