Update.
Beefed up manifold is on. The old one was so thin on the middle of the main flange that it's pushed everything out by about 5mm. This has made the downpipe not quite line up with the turbo giving me a marginally better sounding exhaust, but essentially it's still blowing........
I have a...
Cheers Raul. I already ordered some standard ones in black, with the LH/RH switch this time.
I may well have that snub mount off you though if you still have it? Mine's definitely standard.
Also when you finally break your donor car I'll need a few bits of trim etc.
In other news.........
I just checked to make sure my headlights were switched to the correct side as they seem a little off and it appears they aren't. Ill flip the switch i thought. It seems theyre left hand drive only and there is no way of switching between the 2. More new headlights...
I've definitely not got that bit. I'll have a better look tomorrow and see if I have any sign of it being there in the past. It's had an engine swap so may not have been replaced.
Cheers all.
Not sure it's wired in to anything. If it's a pain then I'll leave it, I rarely use cruise control but like things to work.
The cut off cable is just above that ball joint/nipple.
Never mind, it was the backside of the throttle cable. That'll teach me to post before opening my eyes:whistle2:
The trim looks perfect. Maybe I'll check the rear screen too as it may well have run forward upon braking.
I just presumed the cruise control was standard so I'll do a bit more detective work on that. It also has an early built in sat nav under the handbrake that I can't seem to get working...
Cheers Kev.
I'll keep an eye on the leak, there's nothing obvious around the screen.
Exhaust is next on my hitlist as it's vibrating and blowing and sending me insane. Then the dreaded snapped manifold stud. Hopefully there's enough showing to weld a nut to.
Then the bumper, which I may have...
Quick update for anyone who's interested.
New boost gauge fitted with a white face to match the clocks a little better.
Both plugs under the seats are now sorted and the airbag light is off.
I bumped into a club member recently and bought an unlocked ecu with an AMD custom map on it, and...
I've just been spotted by RaulQTS who happens to live about 30 seconds from my girlfriend! Small world. Nice chinwag and I managed to walk away with an unlocked and mapped ecu too.
I'm guessing it's not genuine. I saw the part number and bought it but I have a feeling it may have said 'equivalent to', and then the correct number. I have quite a collection of wrong mafs accumulating lol.
