Good idea with the finger of the glove, hadn’t thought of that! I used insulating tape on both sides but it’s not impenetrable by any means.

Might sound strange but it seems to improve with time, either that or my ears got used to it lol. I don't personally think it's that bad, to my ears it's considerably better than some standard systems I've had in the past, as previously mentioned though it's very subjective.

It very much depends how you drive and which drive mode you predomantly use. If you drive around in efficiency (or auto/comfort at low revs) the car will spend most of its time gassing through the single exhaust tip, if you drive in Dynamic (or individual set as so) the exhaust valves will...

Obviously a bit late for you in this instance, but if you wipe the tips with WD40 or similar when you clean the car they're MUCH easier to clean. I do it each time I clean the car, takes 2 minutes and keeps them as good as new. Hopefully you'll be able to get them swapped out and add the step...

Always worth getting a settlement figure and valuation. I got out of a TTS after 18 months effectively Scott free, but I did negotiate a decent discount on it in the first place.

This is obviously all very subjective, but I agree that the *** isn't bad at all, it's far better than the standard systems I've had in BMW's and Merc's in the past, and very close in my opinion to the upgraded B&O in the current A4/5 range.
