I’ve managed to check and the multimetre reads 14.5 going in..I was expecting 12. As it’s getting 12v (at least) i’m going to go with a new compressor. Cheers for the reply

Thanks will do that today. I’ve replaced the sensor but the clutch still didn’t engage. Luckily got from amazon so I can send it back for a refund. I’ve seen one guy connecting a 12v probe to the live wire of the compressor to see if it engages but missing such equipment at the minute.

So the break pad sensor is actually a loop that is interrupted when the brake disc grinds that. Could you not use a mulimeter to measure continuity and spot the faulty one?

On the B8 the sensor is part of the pad and cannot be replaced on its own, you new pads. I’ve done my front pads and discs last week. Words of wisdom, don’t go with Brembo, the wire for the sensor is not long enough to go throug that rubber loop on the bleed nipple.

I tried to decide if I should remove the wrap covering the chrome around the windows or leave it like it came...2 hours of staring at it and still came to no conclusion
