    Window fault diagnosis help, please!

Drivers window has been playing silly buggers and randomly responding to the switch over that last few weeks. Today they've all decided they're no longer going to respond to switches in the drivers armrest. All the windows go up and down happily via the remote, so assume this means I can rule...

    OEM Bluetooth issues

Sounds stupid but try clearing the call log from your phone. That usually fixes it for me.

    TFSi quattro aircon/climate control fuggered?

Excellent. Thanks for that Bez. Couldn't see any way to access any of the ducting from the footwells, so glovebox out, it is then.

    TFSi quattro aircon/climate control fuggered?

I'll have a grope when I leave the office tonight.

    TFSi quattro aircon/climate control fuggered?

For the first time in months I decided I needed some warm air in the car this morning. Adjusted the temp on the drivers side up to 19C and didn't think any more about it. Realised after about 20 minutes that it was still cold/cool air coming out of the rightmost centre vent, the drivers side...

    Snow chains?

Don't risk chains and the damage they can cause (not to mention the pain in the ar$e fitting/removal). Try http://www.roofbox.co.uk/car-snow-socks/

Wheel judder on 2.0T when parking

Mines done it from new on full-lock to some degree - seems sensitive to tyre pressures and tread depth. But, in the last few days it's got really bad and doesn't need to be at full lock. Had a 4 wheel alignment done with a load of warranty work (cylinder head, oil pump, camshaft, etc) just...

    A4 DTM quattro ...

62 litres on the quattro. And fecked if I've ever had more than 360 miles out of my 2.0TFSI quattro Special Edition (same power as the DTM).

    Re-badging

My B7 2.0T Special Edition came with a red 'T' as have all the other special editions I've seen. Guess it's like they were on the B6, a subtle hint that the car had more power than "standard" 1.8T/2.0T.

    Really really want a chip

Do their remaps reset the ECU Flash counter then? Most remaps don't reset the counter, so each time a map is applied it will increase by 1 and is pretty obvious on a dealers diagnostic kit. Granted most of them probably don't pay it any attention. The only company that have a way around it, that...

    Any advice appreciated

Genuine 19" B7 RS4 alloys won't fit due to the offsets, so you'll be stuck with replicas or Audi's own 18" version as fitted to the last of the B7 A4 S-line special editions.

    Can anyone help?

Not necessarily that straightforward. Will depend on whether it's a Concert or a Symphony stereo in the car now. If it's a Symphony II (has the built in 6 CD changer) it is a reasonably simple swap. If it's the Concert II stereo (single CD player) then you'll need a get an new double DIN cage to...

New A4 2.0TDI Quattro S Line SE - Excessive Fuel Consumption!!

Don't worry about missing out on the 2.0TFSi S Line SE, I average 26mpg in mine. Too think I chose this instead of the S4 because I feared the fuel bills. :sadlike:

A4 Special Edition 2.0 TFSI (219 bhp) - Bluefin or not?

Think I was initially quoted £400 but it was less than that in the end as they discounted it due to me having to have an interim remap whilst they were trying to get hold of the Milltek sports cat. Top guys there and the map was done by the ex-AmD remap guy, Gary.

A4 Special Edition 2.0 TFSI (219 bhp) - Bluefin or not?

Haven't had mine Bluefinned but have had a custom APS remap on mine, along with the Milltek system and cat. Drives really well and just want's to keep on going to the redline. Exactly the same flat torque curve as before - just more of it. Very happy with it!
