I'd go as far as to saw "astonishing", and in a good way :). Almost completely eliminated the transmission movement that turned up following the power/TCU upgrades, at least as far as every day driving is concerned.
As an ex-manual man, I'd say the DSG makes less mistakes than I did moving cogs by hand :). It is not fool proof, but nor was I. Half the trick is to know when to override with the paddles rather than staying lazy. When the DSG gets it right it is far better than I could be. It can be a little...
Unless I'm majorly off course (in which case I'm sure someone will be along shortly), you still have a hole for a dipstick, just no actual stick. Will have a cap you can remove.
My current (main stream) insurer wasn't interest in Stage 2 mods (fair enough). Sky came in a bit expensive, Adrian Flux were much more reasonable and easy to deal with over the phone.
