Al, As far as I am aware, the downstream probe should have no effect on engine performance. It is simply used to measure post-cat oxygen levels to make sure the cat is operating correctly. No harm in cleaning it, but I don't think you'll gain anything. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong though.
