    hello all, hoping someone can help The wife’s 1.8tfsi has thrown up the EPC light, checked for codes and getting P256300 turbocharger boost control position sensor circuit range/performance P004500 turbocharger boost control A circuit open Any ideas on what to change/do?

    It was the central electrics j519 module and the ignition switch. Ignition was sending sporadic start signals and the central electrics was doing something odd to allow it to start etc. All sorted now.

    Car is fixed now. New module and ignition switch all coded to suit and no further issues

    Ok so far my independent has said there is a fault with a module not sure which one and also the ignition switch is sporadically sending a start signal

    Audi parts, got a second hand set up but the harness that runs to the front of the car was cut and I never got the bit that ran to the front of the car so was hoping to just wire it in myself if I can get the correct pin locations. I have the box etc

    Just remembered it flashed up a fault a few months ago about a key issue and would only turn off when key was removed. Cleared itself after a few days. So possibly is an ignition issue

    Same could have been said for auto if it was left in gear!!! As normally it looks for being in park and footbrake to start the car

    Yes it’s dsg, no keyless entry or ignition. my brother Had the carpets up and all dry under there.

    Reasonably confident that it wasn’t as my brother says there is no damage at all. And the fact that it would t even turn off would suggest an electrical gremlin

    Ah yeah never thought about that, I’m currently away from home just now. Il get battery disconnected and reconnected to see what happens before it gets picked up to go to the independent.
