Yeah, that's why I held out. I agreed with one guy & expecting to sell the next day early evening then got him ring 30 mins later saying he was on his way & what was my address!!
Had a full on argument practically telling him I wasn't selling to an unknown person in the middle of the night for...
Sold on pistonheads. Basically became inundated by people ringing who seemed to think it was fine to ring up at 10:30 at night and come round immediatley with cash.
Sorry, but when talking about large amounts of cash & hearing horror stories about people getting robbed etc then it doesn't seem...
Well I finally sold my A3. Got lots of interest but an unbelievable amount of idiots trying to come round immediatley with cash offers in the middle of the night or putting insulting offers forward. It seems any courtesy or politeness has gone out of car buying these days with people just...
It's easy. Just pull everything out. Honestly!
Take out the handles & sun visors first & the centre light, then the A-pillars, then the C pillars at the rear. The B pillars are a bit of a pain as you have to unscrew the seatbelt at the bottom (you'll see).
The whole top peice will then come...
Anybody fitted a K&N or pipercross air filter to a 2.0 fsi ?
From previous experience on other cars they were good for keeping the revs up when coming off the throttle (which could be quite useful as fsi is quite slow from low revs).
Has anyone fitted one & noticed a substantial difference ...
The S-line spoiler lets the brake light shine through doesn't it ? I thought it was the Vortex one which has the extra light ?
My S-line has a big hole & uses the existing brake light & so does my neighbours who I looked at before fitting.
I did the same. Bought one on ebay, dremeled the legs off & just stuck on with sikaflex with a few weights on it overnight. Dried overnight & has been fine since. Sticks like sh*t to a blanket ;)
I've done the conversion to mine (which I'm thinking of selling).
If it takes your interest KP84, chuck me a PM

Good on you. Looks great.
I agree, customising a car with non OEM body parts is the halmark of the chav ;)
If it's something you're going to hang onto for a while then it's worth the investment & still far cheaper than an S3 & all the insurance costs etc.
Your next project should be black...
Cheers guys. There do seem quite a few 2.0 Fsi's for sale at the moment. I know some have gone for silly money, but hopefully I'll find someone pay at least £7500 for it as it needs nothing else done to it & is single grill & absolutley immaculate inside and out & not needing any big services or...
Yeah not too desperate (it's a 2.0fsi btw, not T) so will hold off until the right buyer comes along.
Lot's of standard 2.0 fsi sports going for 6-8k. I think 8k is a very good price for all the work that's been done on it as it is s-line spec. I'll chuck it on pistonheads this weekend and see.
Oops, good point. It was registered in January 04, but is on a 53 plate.
I would use a glasses guide but I would hope the s-line spec (although not official) would increase the price (not to mention RNS-E, bose etc).
