Does anyone know where the airbag module is located in a vw polo 2002, and also what is the process of replacing an airbag module I.e. Does it need recoding? Or can it just be replaced and checked by VCDS TO erase airbag light???

Does any one know if airbags ecu have to be the same part numbers? I got my triggered airbag part number; 1C0 909 605 K and the one I got given by the scarp yard is 6Q0 909 605 A date on it is 01/2001 would there be a problem if I place this ecu in my vw polo 2002?

Not yet that's my questions original ecu and donee ecu have different part numbers would that be a problem, car breakers said it don't mater what car it is ecu work on all models?!

It all returns as if airbags ain't connected etc, Done a search over the internet with Danny and came back other had similar problem and they changed ecu and erased airbag light. When I got parts I got given an ecu so would that do it!

Still have it but I have been told it needs to be changed as it has been triggered due to both front airbags deployed
