I am having the same problem myself, i took apart the boot and all i could find was what looked like a pump (wrapped in a foam type block) it had a pipe in and a pie out? is this a secondary pump? i had no joy anyway. unless that is a waterpump and has gone faulty. i have checked the connection...

after lots of homework and hunting on the net i found my car on ebay, i didnt buy it from ebay but i contacted him, when all checked out wit hpi i took the plunge and got the plane, the car was a perfect example 99 reg, 44k, 210bhp fully loaded as it was a audi demo! 2 years on car now has 72k...

did you get the tool for taking off the haldex filter? there isnt much chance of getting this off without the tool due to where it is.

jojo you hit the nail on the head! it has just started to come away slightly from the white nylon strip that it is connected to. i might take the whole lot off at the weekend and see if i can do a quick fix. thanks for the info lads
