No. Its a closed loop system (apparently) so there is no air to expel. There is no air to DUMP but just to DIVERT so S3 has a diverter valve. I recommend doing a search for the term DV as there is loads of info as well as flutter problems.

I've seen it once on Autotrader. I do (L) it. Mainly seen on 3.2V6 TT's and not so much on anything else.
