Not a Black 05 plate is it? Mine had just started to cause issues before I traded it. I went to a garage (high end specialist) and they said they wouldnt bother adding new flexi's in there as there is alot of work getting it right. If you go on ed38 site someone was selling a near new Mk5...

I got 8200 in part ex for mine with 62k on it. Mine was a 05plt manual with RNS-E and in mint condition.

Mine did 65k and still had abit left on them. With that in mind if vowed to pay the extra and get the OEM ones as it's not a bad deal given those miles! I think pads are roughly £90 and discs £100 each......

Really sad to see this thread! Haven't been on here in a while and just noticed it. As others have said a very helpful guy and will be greatly missed. My thoughts go to his loved ones.

Mine used to get the traction control light coming on and it wouldnt go off. Car would also idle badly when this did happen. After a while turned off it would go away. Weirdly it only ever did it engine braking in traffic.......... Never did sort that issue!

Do you not have a set of spare wheels you could try on it?
