same happened to mine, it was the brake switch that had packed in. how i love the a3 s3. easy job to change it, but i believe there are 2 variations of switch.

if i recall the g200 lateral is on the steering column as mine threw this code many times too. after replacing it the traction light was still on, until i started the car the next morning and the light was out. in the pic you have posted, that is the lateal sensor.

rears were straight forward, jack it up, bit of brute force and ignorance. makes for a easy job. how low you going? are you going to fit rear tie bars to compensate for negative camber? i did mine to 30mm and had to fit adjustable tie bars as the wheel were crazy camber.

i have the exact same noise, serviced the forge 007p dv yesterday and its still there, can only assume i have leak some where, i have the bits to remove sai, and simplify the pcv but not mechanically minded enough to fit, cant find any where local that smoke tests,
