Does the A3 1.8t agu have an oil level sensor?

Yes, Bentley say 4.4L. Anyway, best way to fill is checking the dipstick, but 0.9L it's a big difference, i have no idea where did Mobil got that from.

Does the A3 1.8t agu have an oil level sensor?

Maybe you didn't sealed the sump properly, but why only 3.5L ? It should be 4.4L

No remap said I was burning oil

Are you sure its white smoke? Cause oil smoke should be blue. White smoke means coolant in the exhaust.

Do I need a new thermostat??

I guess is usual on that weather mate. Same happens to my gf's Passat when driving out of town, about 70C on a long road, but in city traffic it stays on 90C. That's why some people put cardboard on the front grill during the winter (don't know if they do that in the UK but they do it here :D)

    Corrado 1.8 20VT AGU

Forget about the K04, got myself a TD04L-13T from a Subaru WRX. Started the cleaning process first and then i'll get a rebuild kit for it.

    Corrado G60

The Corrado is great but i wouldn't go for the G60 version mate. It's a 1.8 8v engine with a horrible supercharger (talking about reliability). Everyone I know who owned a G60, ended up with a turbo conversion or 1.8T as their G-laders failed. Also the body of the G60 versions (and KR) are non...

    Spark Plug Removal Problems....

I had the same problem when i bought my AGU and wanted to check for compression. You need to create a bigger leverage to your tool and slowly undo the spark plug. Do it as slow as you can until it moves, otherwise there is a risk of cracking your cylinder head. When installing the plugs back...

    K04 - Should I Rebuild This ?

My opinion is that the wheel was a 43mm inducer due to the 44mm internal diameter of the housing inlet. But i will let go the idea of rebuilding it, cause I'm not sure if that compressor housing is any good, probably not, so i won't take the risk. I guess i'll go for a TD04L turbo as it's just...

    K04 - Should I Rebuild This ?

So what should i do? I was considering more to rebuild the stock one as i said, cause i can just buy a new CHRA for 180 pounds, but i don't know if that stock compressor housing is any good due to the wear of it. With the upgraded one, i can still buy a new CHRA and switch the compressor wheel...

    K04 - Should I Rebuild This ?

To be clear, both compressor were identical in the past as they have the same part number stamped and both turbos were K04-023. One of them have been machined to accept the bigger wheel. Now, i measured the internal diameter of the inlets and you were right, the upgraded one is 44.1mm while the...
