Yep same worked for me. Put your windows down fully get a cloth and some strong cleaning solution suitable on rubber and clean the rubber strip. Might not work for everyone but it did for me. Perhaps its worth looking into polishing the scratches out rather than replacing the whole glass...

Yep like to see the outcome of this too. At the end of the day how do you know properly what it looks like with out having a go. Avoid damaging the existing grill and you can always pop it back in if your not happy.

thanks for the reply. I have seen the post but I on my car the metal ring attaching the inlet pipe to the throttle is different and there does not appear to be a screw to untighten. Is it just a case of pushing something back? Sorry I didn't state this more clearly. Cheers
