tt seats do fit and look a lot better and have better support than a3 leather seats, they go straight in but you have to change the plug, wire colours are the same.
Hey guys, I think you misunderstood me, I never said maxed out, I meant at its limits with what equipment the engine has available if its just a standard car.
I've seen a 2.5 litre volvo t5 engine have 750 bhp squeezed out of it, that's maxed! :salute: peace!
Anyone no if this is an option? Was thinking of upgrading to leather and although I like the 8p s line part leather seats, (these should just be a straight swap) the 8v seats are nicer.
If the mountings are the same then there should not be a problem.
Just wondered if anyone on here has...
I de-badged mine for this reason and I don't have a s3! Its usually just kids in 1.2 corsa's bless em, I'm sure were all mature enough to ignore them and not give in to the temptation to.............SMOKE EM....LOL
IMO A remap will always show up problems not really apparent or obvious on an unmapped car, basically you are running the engine at its limits and unless everything is spot on you will have problems.
Also what they don't tell you is that unless you run it on high octane fuel expect some pinking...

I never thought of the tt seats, I've also found this on ebay, they are made in germany and if the pics and feedback are anything to go by then i think its a great option,

does anyone no if the new 8v seats fit in an 8p, I ask as Ive always fancied upgrading mine to leather but never liked the look of the 8p leather ones as the leather always looks loose and baggy, apart from the s3 ones but these are rarely available second hand.
Any help apprecieated.
Ive had my a3 1.8 tfsi just over a year and in that time ive actually lost count of the amount of plugs, coil packs and oil it has consumed, ive done about 15k miles in that time and it has finally given up and requires a new engine.
It was fairly high mileage at 135k when I purchased the car...
