    It feels like steering but actually it is the clutch dmf. Try it. Slowly release clutch noise will come.

    Thanks guys. Car in for mot in couple weeks so will tell mechanic to lube up. Will update if it gets sorted or not.

    Hi, i've got exactly the same issue but with a mk5 golf tdi 140. Did the steering rack solve the problem. My mechanic says that I have electronic power steering which doesnt have fluid reservoirs to top up....isn't yours the same?
