Slightly delayed update, I got confirmation from my dealer and the email from Audi on the 9/Oct that my build is starting. Got a bit bored of following it and ended up buying a new rs6 performance last month to scratch the itch. Guess the rs3 will be ready for collection 6-8 weeks or so.

My order has now been accepted and I’ve been given a build week. I was told previously that the two points weren’t separate. As in, you get the build week when your order is accepted/confirmed. Not sure, mine seems to be fine now. Took a while though.

By all means, feel free to add the info. Yes it’s a Sportsback! My sales person did mention that build weeks can change, but the status has definitely now changed to confirmed. Perhaps they have been able to clear some back log and pick up manufacturing speed.

I guess mine is about 18 month between order and build. I’m just happy to have a ‘confirmed’ status. I was a Little concerned they might simply cancel the unconfirmed orders. I guess it could still happen, but it’s slightly reassuring now!
