Hi guys.
Im needing an engine for my 1.8tfsi a3. Managed to find a few but one of them is the same engine code Cdaa but is from a skoda yeti, would this still fit without any issues.
Seems to be a good bit cheaper and only had 29k miles on it
Yeah all the good ones are miles away from me. The car is sorn at present till I can get it fixed. Spoke to a really nice guy who wanted me to take it up to him, sounded enthusiastic about finding the cause rather than just refitting. Problem is he is in Inverness
Yeah the first thing I did to try solve it was new plugs and new coil pack, the I thought maybe faulty injector which is when I found out about the low compression.
Haven't swapped the new ones around though.
I'd I could just get someone to do a cylinder leakage test to find out more then it...
It could be the cdaa 1.8 taken out and a cdaa 2.0 put in. I read in a few posts they share the same ecu but I'm just not sure. I spoke to the garage I had the car into and he just said it needs to be a straight swap.
Starting to think he is just a lazy mechanic who doesn't want to do anything...
It was a local audi specialist I took the car into. Said that he didn't have time or space to strip it down, just buy a new engine he will fit it for me. Bug I don't have a spare 2500 lying around to get a recon engine supplied and fitted.
I have found a 2.0tfsi for 1295 with only 61k on it...
Hi folks glad to be parts of the site.
Hopefully someone can help me with a dilemma I have.
I have a 2010 a3 1.8tfsi cdaa which has developed a misfire and loss of power.
Taken the car into local vag specialists who diagnosed P0302 and low compression on that cylinder.
Their advice was...
