Walked away from a sale - was I wrong?

Thanks all. Actually I'm glad I did because I'm so pleased with the car I bought in the end. Saw some funny adverts for private sales whilst I was looking though. One seller had written "REDUCED ONCE ALREADY SO NO OFFERS" in bold shouty writing on the ad - trouble was the car was nothing...

Long time no speak - car for sale warning...

Just shows you should always check the DVLA MOT history database online - they can't "clock" that! This has made a huge difference to the world of used cars - I well remember the classifieds 15 years ago....no cars on there with more than 70k miles and most seemed to be a "magic" 49k miles on...

Walked away from a sale - was I wrong?

Saw a A3 S Line Cabriolet 2.0TFSI for sale about 5 miles away - Price slightly higher than it should be. Spoke to seller - had it a year - no faults - no problem to come round and he would take it for a test drive with me. Reason for sale given - too small to fit kids in (my, they have grown...

Falsified Mileage and what to do?

Clear case of fraudulent misrepresentation under the Misrepresentation Act 1967. A fraudulent misrepresentation occurs when someone makes a statement that - they know is untrue, or, they make without believing it is true, or, they make recklessly I doubt whether the DVLA would be...
