yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Is it worth it? You risk the car becoming an unofficial demonstrator. Besides, we are only 3 months in to the new reg anyway.

But that won’t actually happen. The dealer still doesn’t think it’ll land until Jan anyhow as it’s an exclusive colour. We’re in no rush it’s not like the other half’s current c63 is slow

Same as mine. I've posted my pics on another thread. Saloon looks awesome. Prefer it to the sportback. I think the saloon is way better with alu. However I saw an ara blue with black pack sportback at reading audi and looked pretty good but saloon ara blue with alu looks way better

Can you share some photos please? I was only able to find one from you.

Put the dealer on the spot today as to why the car is still parked up at Sheerness to be told ******** along the lines of 'it is entirely normal for cars to be at Sheerness for 16+ days before shipping to the dealer'. Tw*ts.

Then to be told that it will be at the dealer for 2 weeks for them to custom install swirl marks in the paint and other general sh1tty dealer prep presents as part of the PDI process.

After a lashing they agreed to limit their paint destroying activities to peeling off the plastic only (in my presence - but they don't know that one yet) and to ensure collection for the 11th December on the pain of death.

This is no consolation I know but I'm picking mine up Thursday just arranged it . Mine came into sheerness I reckon around 2 weeks ago . It's all down to the dealer booking it with the pdi centre that they use as far as I can see . It does leave u thinking once they have u hooked they don't give a hoot. Still this will all be forgotten when u have it I'm sure of that ...

Mine came into Sheerness on 21st, delivered to Tunbridge on 24th and collected 25th. I'm not sure what the process is but they expected it this Wenesday but suddenly got a call last Thursday to say it was a week early .

I took the wrapper off myself, dealer was great and I don’t see why you can’t either.

2 weeks at the dealer? Wtaf?!? Mine arrived at 10am Monday morning, had been PDI’d at 13:00 and was ready to drive away at 16:00 and that was with finance quibbles (norm for me).

I agree - total ******** being spoken. How hard is it to peel off the plastic and inspect the paint (with the assistance of my 3M Sun Gun).

I am honestly not sure that all this is necessary. Whilst I do agree that the dealer will put swirl marks on the car - its not on purpose- its just that they don't care enough to get a proper detailer.

I had my S3 done with Life Shyne and honestly I can tell any difference between it now and before it was done.

I see the benefit of PPF but that is super expensive. As for a detail I would almost rather do it after a year and get it all polished and corrected then - but its a car that is on the road. It is going to get paint damage.

I just don't feel anything except PPF is worth it and I feel PPF is stupidly expensive.

Ha, I wouldn’t inspect too closely. Mine wasn’t touched from factory to handover and the car had plenty of defects. Watch out for the extremely hard glue dotted over the car. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw what looked like a deep scratch on the bonnet, it was stray glue residue.

A detail is always worth it, a car doesn’t have to get covered in swirls.

My untouched RS3 was in a worse state than my S3 that was corrected 6 months before and that had weekly washes in all states. Safe washing, WILL stop 99% of defects.

That is totally expected - first thing to be done is a soak in Tardis - I have about 5 litres of it in the shed anyway.

Mines also just left the factory... is there an outside chance of collecting it before Christmas?

Mine went from Code 30 on the 14th to Code 40 (at Sheerness) on the 22nd.

After I gave the dealer a boll0cking yesterday I see they have ordered the transport and it has gone to Code 60 today. Depending how long yours sits at Emden & Sheerness there is every chance you will get it - I would get onto the dealer though the moment it arrives at Sheerness and tell them you want it asap.

Sounds like you’ve got it all planned out ;)
I had a look - its a 15 litre drum - nearly full too. Don't know what I was thinking when I bought that. Anyway, follow that up with Iron X and most of the ***** should be off it.

I understand my car will be coming into Grimsby - which ships should I be looking for on the Marine tracker?

Any really, all UK ships mismatch their destination nearly every other trip.

just been on phone to them. He said most likely Grimsby but could be Sheerness.

According to our original order confirmation ours will be heading into Grimsby. The other half doesn't want to collect until March 1st so she can get an 18 plate so I'm not fussed when it arrives

That’s a long, long time for the car to sit in a compound :/ Tell her where to go and buy a private plate.

She wants an 18 plate, if that’s what she wants then so be it. She hates private plates and takes the p*** out of my collection

I wonder how that works - I ordered mine on the 12th September and it arrived at the dealer this week.

Picked mine up today you won't be disappointed . Much more well rounded than anything that went before .

Wow it seems like a lifetime ago I was looking at that screen, only 3 weeks ago... that’s depressing.

I am not clear if you have actually been driving your car and if so lets see some more photos!!!

If you ask nicely I am sure Evotion could recreate that Audi tracker experience with a countdown to the next time you are allowed to drive it.

Yes I am driving it, it’s got 900 miles on the clock now.. 700 of which went on in the last 6 days. It’s on the dyno tomorrow :D

Some of the photos are in the picture thread. I will be putting up a dedicated thread soon when I get all of the PPF process photos from the detailer.

I don't want to see it looking perfect after 10 details and with PPF. I want to see it in the real world... Just take some photos when you read this in the car!

I have some photos lying around yes, only a few ;)

I need more time to take decent ones but there are photos on here with the car all wrapped up too and then dirty in the showroom for handover.
