Cambelt replacement

Morning guys,

I am on the verge of getting myself an A3 1.8t, nothing to flash harry due to my budget. Budget of about £3k to £3.5k

All the A3s i come across are gonna have mileage of about 80k+

What i would like to know is what mileage should the Cambelt replacement happen? I preferbly want to buy an A3 with the work done but then i dont mind paying to get it done for my peace of mind.

IIRC Audi state 80,000 miles. But if the previous owner was sensible enough, they would have had it done well before, maybe even as early as 40,000.
