Iv owned my audi a4 170 Quattro for around 6 months now, fell in love with it at first sight.
First drive I loved it even more!
now its getting depressing.
I always hear people banging on about how crap german reliability is and iv never believe it because iv never had a problem.... until now
Basically when I first got the car, a couple of weeks later, the DPF light came on.. I took it up and down the motorway, which seemed to work as it didn't come on for another 3 month.
Soon as it came back on I knew it was time to remove it.
Had the car in on Tuesday (25th) for DPF removal, EGR delete and remap, went to pick it up and WOW it was unreal!!!
Got it home, had my tea and popped back out, had a little bit of a play down the main road and noticed the speed wasn't climbing.
I stuck it in 3rd and put my foot down... to my horror the revs were climbing really fast. Now we all know that this is the doings of a destroyed clutch.
I tried 4th.. did the same and even in 5th and 6th.
I can drive it but sometimes I have to change gear really early.
This isn't the end of my problems, I knew iv had an oil leak for a month or so, and just yesterday I was told that I had oil in the intercooler
So basically it looks like ill have £2000 in repairs within the first 6 months of owning it!
Problem is, I'm not on a big wage and I have a car to pay for, my phone bill and rent, not including fuel and food/drink.
Looks as if ill be taking a stinking loan out to get her fixed, really am gutted because all I want to do at this point is get rid of it and I cant
Im pouring money into a car that I don't even own
