roof bars

i am currently looking to get some roof bars for my B6 saloon, seen some for about £60 and also seen some thule ones for about £100.

any advise on where to get some cheap ones? looked on ebay and google.

I got some cheap ones for 99p off ebay they were listed for ford focus which is the same fitment!

really? which model/year of focus does it have to be?

best check on the manufacturers site eg. thule etc. get the part numbers required and check against the ford focus. pretty sure it was the 5 dorr hatch 98-04

I have got a spare set of Avant Roof Bars in good condition which will fit either B6 or B7 Avant.....PM me if anyone out there is interested......

AFAIK saloons don't have roof bars, only Avants do.

i am on about the bars you buy that go across the roof and can put things like roof boxes on.

You would need whats called a "Gutterless foot pack" which mounts onto the top of the door shut - something like THIS from Thule.
