Matt blackwith anthracite wheels, much like the Lambo, would look cool on the RS4.
cheers Toby
They will have the car for 3 days, 1 day is prep (cleaning paintwork, drying etc...) so that the vinyl will bond correctly/easily.
After care is pretty simple, no more waxes, just pressure washing etc...
Sweet jesus that Lambo looks absolutely insane in matt black. I've seen a lambo in matt black before but the matt vinyl actually looks better than paint. I can't explain why, maybe a softer sheen?
If i had £800 floating about and owned an M3, RS4 etc.... I'd definitely film it matt gun metal or black.
I'd spot bubbles for days, then get totally wound up and have it removed...
if there are bubbles I won't pay, have you actually seen a car that has been vinyl wrapped?
yes it just peels of it actualy protect your paint i was thinking of getting this done my self ... i saw a matt black porshe jeep at the birmingham motor show looked so nice there was a company showing it of i cant remember the name only thing it you will get some jelous nonce that will scratch it ruin the whole thing you know how people are ...
You say your insurance isn't interested, but surely you have to tell the DVLA??
If not, the coppers could have a field day with you.
Even a cursory radio check will say "black Audi"
Lo and behold, it's a white one in front of them.
Blue lights and embarrassing roadside stops for you.
nope, not a permanent colour change, so don't need to inform DVLA, already checked, some insurance companies make a note of the colour change, but very rarely does it effect a premium.
Don't think the DVLA is up to date with some of their protocols, or this is a loop hole, but I've spoken to them and there is nowhere for them to even record a temporary colour change
My mate who has the Z4M is a Police officer and he has changed the colour on the V5.. So, up to you.. But he saw it necessary.. In my eyes its worth it for the sake of taking a trip to the local DVLA office and preventing getting stopped by the police every time it comes up as a Black RS4 when its obviously white, your going to get stopped and have to explain it all etc..
It doesn't cost anything, and its not permanent, if you go back to the paint, then you just do the same again..

The SLR is painted, you can see the weave throught the paint.
Am I missing the point?
Edit: yes I am missing the point, you just wanted to see a matt white car...
