Is this standard...or at least OEM?

Hi all,

Just wondering, on my B7 S Line 56 plate, I have one of these rear blinds.
I can't see any branding on it, and appears to be fixed with two nuts from underneath the parcel shelf, probably fixed under the end caps of where the blind rolls in to.

I don't mind it, but when I retract the blind, wow does it rattle...terrible!
I was also checking for smoke one evening, so I laid the blind down on the shelf flat....a few miles later it retracted itself and scared the living daylights out of me! Like a giant tape measure on full chat.

Also, it makes it impossible to clean the bottom 3 inches of the glass inside. I think removing it would leave two holes....I could get some small grey plastic caps from ebay...

I've not tried to remove it, but does anyone else have the same blind?

No it's an aftermarket device, the rear blind option for the B7 saloon is a powered device and is flush with shelf.

Thanks Charlie. Wow wish I had one of those instead, that and BOSE....ah well!

The Bose system in the A4 B7 wasn’t much better than the standard system IMO, definitely not worth trying to retrofit. Aftermarket all day long if you want better sound in a B7
