Hi,

I've recently purchased a set of A3 LED (PREFACE) tails only to realise they have a different connector plug to the Halogen lights. Halogen lights have a 3 pin connector and the led rear cluster has a 6 pin connector.

Does anyone here know what I would have to do to get the LED lights to work? any diagrams or links to converters, rewiring or a special lume?

I would just like to know do I need to re pin if my model didn't come with the led cluster tail lights if so send me links to wiring diagrams for halogen tail lights and led tail lights.

I'm also aware it will need recoding.

Thanks

They do need recoding. There quite a few posts on here with others stating the issue. Basically it’s not worth it.

I ended up going to a wrecker and chopped off the taillight loom + plug that will fit the LEDS, wired them in with my current loom and it works perfectly.
Did not need any coding either.

(mind the exhaust length, it was just about to go in to be cut down to size)

There’s plenty of posts of people trying this and it not working without coding! You must be the first person I’ve heard of it working without coding.

I was surprised it never needed coding.
I had plans to have it coded the next day but all lights work perfectly and no codes have come up on the dash.
Cheering!
