unknown door connection

I've had to swap over door panels on my a3 because of some damage. One panel has the male side of the connection but the new panel hasn't, anyone have any clue what this connection is for as after changing the doors over all the switches work just fine.

Mmh, I got that connector on my internal doorpanel, didnt knew what it was for so I'm hooking in on this one :D

Do you have the lights on the side and bottom of the door card?

Those are other connectors, and these go into the doormodule.
It's a single wire connector so it must be ground connection e.g. alarm etc.

Think you're right mate, checked last night and the alarm wasn't flashing so it must be the earth for the alarm. I've just swapped the door panel harnesses over and its back on.

Ill guess it connects to a copper wire on your window or something. When the window breaks it triggers the alarm.
