Firstly I apologise for signing on to a forum and the first thing I do is ask for help.
My wifes A3 has been perfect for the 5 years she has had it other than maintenance and tyres nothing needed doing. The gear indicator light has started flashing but no fault codes found. Its in a transmission specialists at present having located a second hand unit. They inform me the actual selector stick once removed cannot be replaced and will have to have a new one yet I have seen a youtube post showing how this can be done. Does anyone know if this is true ?
