I'm wanting to delete my egr I have a A4 1.9tdi 130 2004. Was about to order a kit and been told it has to be deleted out of the software. My question is this true and also if I don't get the software delete is there any damage to the engine with fuel and air mixtures.

You don't even need a kit !
Your build sticker will have OGZ which indicates your Euro 3 has egr ecu monitoring .
