I have been told to get millers 5w 40 oil for my 2011 Audi s3, I have been using Castrol edge 5w 30, does it matter if I use 30 or 40 and what would people recommend

Iv been using Castrol Edge 5w30 in my rs3, never any issues, running Stage 2+ Apr, your car should be fine, such a fine line between 30/40 but if in doubt use what your handbook or what your tuner tells you.

The Millers Nanotech NT 5/40 is excellent oil. The extra 10 over the 30 offers a little more protection and as it’s slightly thicker it can help if your engine uses oil.

This is the Millers oil that most recommend. I run it in 3 cars including an S3 at stage 2+ and a 21 year old GTi 1.8T .Silky smooth engines with no oil burning.

Also, if you take it on track or like ragging it a lot, 5/40 gives slightly better protection when the oil is hot. Other wise 5/30 is fine.
