There's a launch edition one in the Carlisle Audi showroom and IMHO the plastics are scratchy/naff and the whole general quality of the car has seemed to have dropped. And boy has it grew, there was an A3 Sport behind it and they both looked the same size...First reviews are out.
Seems quality is no better than a Polo and lags behind MINI.
Seems even more over priced now.
Googled and read auto express and saw video review from someone like Parker.Where did you see these first reviews....thanks.

Great looking vehicle from the exterior, far superior to the others listed above. Positives and negatives with the interior, main sticking point certainly the price.
Very much doubt my next car will be an Audi unless there are amazing deals on offer.
MINI, Golf, Polo, Fiesta looking more likely.
The inferior interior plastics seems to be a common thing for this platform ie Seat Ateca plus the Skoda variant not a fan at all especially of the interior, the headlamps are far too large especially the height of them, you can already see how easily this car will be to facelift, again Audi's latest models disappoint, l was in the new A6, A7 recently build quality was superb apart the touchscreens, couldn't feel any haptic feedback through them via my fingers though, design of the new A6/A7 just appears so bland, the only car Audi have made a decent job of lately externally is the New Q3 but higher end Q3s will be beaten by the all new Evoque, I'll say it again all car makers have their ups and downs and Audi are on a downer not that there cars are bad hell no, its just their design language and build quality has lost its way a little and the competition have not ie JLR, Volvo,Mini hence l am well happy to hang on to my current car for far longer than l normally would as l just can't see the all new A3/S3 being more desirable given what we've seen already, and the deletion of the MMI dial just sums up Audi in general
Audi know they can make their cars cheaper, with inferior materials than before, yet Joe Public will still lap them up.
This l don't know so much, the competition out there is fiercer now than ever before, **** the discounts on the brand new A6/A7 are ****** good... You even lease them never seen this so early on in a Audi car
My sister recently got a new Fiesta Zetec, £179 deposit and £179 per month over 3 years on a pcp, it's a great little car and has/does everything she needs.Very much doubt my next car will be an Audi unless there are amazing deals on offer.

I would chose the fiesta over the A1, we have a 2017 titaniumx, mk8, the refinement is very good and the interior is no worse than the new a1 in terms of quality. It is also such a fun car to drive...My sister recently got a new Fiesta Zetec, £179 deposit and £179 per month over 3 years on a pcp, it's a great little car and has/does everything she needs.
@LittleP14 we ordered an S-line a week or so back, with a few additional goodies(but not the over priced Tech pack) with an approx 8% discount. This was at at main dealer who price matched the on-line brokers.
We went for the A1 as it was ok to insure for our 17 yo who has his test in Jan. in fact it was the only car with a premium under £2k pa without a black box. The Polo was more expensive for an occasional new driver!
The only downside; we are now a full Audi house. The other being 2018 SQ5. Chalk and cheese, albeit fairly rapid chalk or cheese
Very nice car for a new driver, lucky lad .
We just bought my stepson a corsa today, but somewhat cheaper at £7k. Does look good with sport pack - white, black mirrors, alloys and roof.

We considered the Corsa but down to insurance again....
Our A1 is built and on its way to the UK - via Emden which brings back bad memories - but we're not looking to take delivery until early March. The lad passed yesterday (2nd try mind) but he'll have to wait to get out on the open road until then - he refuses to drive the bright blue V40! Kids these days!
