I've had a strange noise start tonight, when I select windscreen or feet settings iam getting a creaking/groaning sound at rear of dash as if vents are struggling to change settings, anybody got any idea what it could be?

That generally is a normal noise from the vents closing and opening to different positions. Are you a new owner of this vehicle?
Had the car a few months . I've heard the flaps opening and closing before but this is a new noise.

Creaking and groaning is NOT a normal noise of vents opening and closing, and if it is then my car (and the previous one) must be faulty.
You’ll hear a slight ‘whoosh’ sound as you change the direction of the fans, but definitely no creaking or groaning.
