'07 1.8 TFSI rear crank oil seal leak?

I've been keeping an eye on my oil consumption and it has been going up quite a bit lately, and after having my car on a lift it looks like its leaking between the gearbox(DSG) and the engine..
Does anyone have any experience replacing the seal?
How big of a job is it? I'm at roughly 108k miles now so I'm wondering if I should do it or if it's time to get a new car before it gets worse

Also does the BZB engine have the normal TFSI oil consumption problem? I've heard from a few sources that it starts after '08 CDAA engines but is that true?

Means gearbox out to change the oil seal. It's a big job to tackle at home for a small seal.

I'll be doing it at work so I will have a lift and all the tools needed unless there are some special tools needed for it. I figured it would be a pretty big job but I just don't know how big since I cant find too much on it online
