Intercooler question a3,1.8t again sorry....

Morning,

So much information on intercoolers as I've been reading various threads and members comments, my question would be what size intercooler would you say to use for me to keep my fogs on my 01 reg 1.8t?

Don't use 75mm piping you will have no chance . Definitely need to use 2.5 inch 63mm pipe which is plenty big enough anyway to have half a chance. I managed to keep the aliens on my TT with a little creative plumbing on the intercooler pipes.

honestly - get an AIRTEC if they do one for an A3 FWD (I know the charge pipe and throttle body are on the same side) - people put a charge pipe over the engine.

I spent almost the same amount on wasted bits of piping, connectors other piping etc.
on my S3 I saved the fogs after some heavy trimming and then just about got the fog grills on after shaving
