Just bought an audi a3 2.0tdi pd170 2007 quattro. I got it for a good price off a relative. Ive driven a few cars i had another audi a3 tdi 140 a few years ago. My latest a3 doesnt seem to be performing right. When i go to accelerate there is a stupid amount of lag, unless im taking the car to 3k+ rpm it doesnt move. If im travelling at 60mph in 5th gear it starts to pick up around 65-70mph. Its just so flat until the turbo kicks in.
Also when i accelerate there is a delay from when i put my foot down to when the car actually starts going. Same when i let off the pedal it carrys on taking me forward. This only happens for a second or two but is noticable.
Any advice on this matter would be much appreciated

No error on the dash?

Try getting a VCDS read out done to check for faults. Not all faults will show on the dash as I have found out recently.

Doesnt sound right though. I have same car but the CR170 engine and no lag at all.

PD170 here, mapped but even before it was had no real bad lag. Yours manual or dsg?
