I'm trying to diagnose a cruise control problem on a '07 A3 manual. The cruise control only works on about 1/3 startups and there are no fault codes so I think that eliminates clutch/brake switch.
I had VCDS plugged in while on a test drive and when it doesn't work the control module still registers the buttons/movement from the CC switch but it doesn't actually activate anything.
If it doesn't work you can just restart the car and usually after a couple of tries it starts working again.
If I remember right he said that it worked better in the winter so maybe something heat related, anyone have any ideas?
