Cracking mate, just what I needed to know !I have 2yr old and one on the way. Sportback was as close to a family wagon as I was prepared to go!
Mini me fits in easy, boot could be a little bigger though. Apart from that no issues.

Yeah just needed that 1 guy to tell me he can manage and it is justifiedSo you got the one answer you wanted to hear then........

Ok...I'm a bit OCD when it comes to car seats!
You definitely need isofix...it is the only really safe way to attach a car seat. Yeah, people used seatbelts for years but that doesn't mean they were the best.
For the first 9-12months you would be best to go with an isofix base/removable baby carrier setup that can also go onto a pram. We use Maxi Cosi...the base stays in the car(I use some dense foam pad and a leather car seat protector)...the baby carrier is rear facing(rear facing is the safest upto 4 years)...you just open the door and drop it onto the isofix base and check that the light/buttons have gone green, it's as easy as that! The Maxi cosi baby carriers can be bought with extra adapters so that they can fit onto pretty much any pram! So, if baby is asleep, you just unclip the carrier and plonk onto the pram!
No marks on our leather interiors.
Then, when your little one starts to get bigger, 9months--->, you can change to a bigger car seat. I can't stress to you enough the safety benefits of rear facing seats. Just read up on it...upto 80% safer.
We have gone for the Cybex Sirona...it is very heavy, probably one of the heaviest on the market but there are NO marks whatsoever on my SuperSports interior after 5months.
The Cybex is amazing because, whilst being one of the safest, it swivels 360* and can be placed into front facing of you do decide that you prefer to see your child rather than have 80% more safety..lol...we just have a baby mirror hanging from the head rest, that does the same thing.
The best thing is that it swivels to the door so that putting them in it is a piece of ****! Really, even my dad was blown away by its ease and he isn't usually impressed about anything that doesn't have a manager and goalie!
I will put a link to what I use to protect the seat.
Sorry for the essay, I'm just really picky about car seats.
Our first child arrived into the world 3 weeks ago, and I have a Sportback.
Generally it's just big enough, but watch out if you combine a rear facing seat with an isofix base. The car seat comes quite far forward, meaning the front passenger seat has to move quite forward too (you can't let the baby seat touch the back of the passenger seat).
My wife just fits in the front passenger seat now, with about an inch to spare for her knees (she's not tall), but neither me or my friends can fit in there with the baby seat fitted behind.

Rear facing till 4 years old? How do you manage that? Where do there legs go? My two would have had their head in between their knees!
