My 2000 2.8q won't start??

Went to start the car this morning but it wouldn't fire up, starter spins and it sort of wants to start but it doesn't, on inspection I noticed the drain plug on the drivers side was blocked so cleaned it out and a bit of water flushed out. I doused everything in duck oil and went to work, got home car still the same but while looking for the starter to give it a tap I found a plug not connected to anything but can see where its from, anyone got any ideas, the car has never missed a beat in 3yr always been a good starter and runs smooth

See if the cam chain tensioner or the Camshaft position sensor is missing a plug. The one you show in the photo on the other post. and plug back in.

Also scan for codes.
