Was wondering if anyone can help. My Navigation CD has gone walkies, I am due a couple of long drives soon so need to get myself a replacement ASAP.

I have the below unit, is it just a case of getting the new maps or am i going to have to do a firmware update, where is the best place to purchase these form ?

Whats does this mean ?

Will i still be able to update / use maps if i purchase a CD?

Newer maps should work, but sometimes when hacked it causes issues with newer discs, I've had a fair bit of experience with this, so I'm jst warning you, usually I reflash the unit firmwares so it shows up correctly, then there are no issues with any dvd's.

How easy is it to re flash the firmware ? Assume its just a disk ?

What kind of issues can this cause ? Could i potentially brick the unit ?

You'll need older dvd firmware to download then upgrade to 0650, plus vcds to put into downgrade mode, the reason why I goto older version 1st is to make it as clean a flash as possible.
