Did an oil change today, didn't change the oil filter though since the filter only has 5000kms on it.

Took a few pics

Aside from the 5k surely as a matter of course you would change the filter as it only have added a few quid, or whatever currency...

Lol@ currency, yeah trinidad $, yea stuff like that very expensive down here. I didn't really plan to change it, I checked the oil level and I find it was a bit low so instead of topping up I said I would just replace the oil, but next time I will top up and change at the 10000 kms interval.

Personally I would always change the filter if doing an oil change.

One would think that if you can afford an audi, you could afford changing the oil filter... right?? =/

The point of this thread is to share some pics of what must be done to do the job so persons can attempt it themselves. And ask any questions if necessary

I didn't change the oil filter because I didn't have one at home at that time . the oil and filter was changed 5000kms ago so I know it wasn't dirty. Car is only doing 18000 kms

I enjoy doing diys, yes it saves money but feel more connected to my machine when I do my own stuff.

See the positives in the post.

Cheers
