More Trouble, - Wet passenger footwell. ??

Yet more trouble with my cabriolet,

After heavy rain earlier today, i went to get my lunch out the car and noticed a wet patch on the foot mat passenger footwell, lifter the mat up and it was even wetter underneath :s :9


Any suggestions as to where it would be coming in / where to look and check firs etc... ?

Its more than likely blocked drain gromits in the plenum chamber (where the battery is). Need to get them cleaned out. Biggest worry is the ccm is under that bit of carpet and really doesn't like getting wet. Get it out and dried asap.

As above. One under the Servo the other under the battery.

whats the ccm ?

The grommets should of been removed last week when it was in the garage,
are they easy to see ?

No they are hidden but you can see if there is any water there and check by pouring some in and see if it drains qiuckly

Ccm is the central convinience module it controls a lot of the electronics.

In case it's not the plenum chamber, check the seals around the cabin filter.

I had the same problem into avant, turned out to be the drain pipe from the air con unit was blocked and water was dripping out of the fan from above the glovebox.
