The collar colour is green for the five. You have to make sure the volumes is turned up on the phone also to get a better output and louder sound. In regards to collars. Tried the blue one on my iPod and it says not supported. Have tried the lightning one on my I-phone twice now and ended up pulling it off. As keeps loosing connection. Despite making sure the cable is pushed into the ami feed and phone on both occasions. Both pretty crap really when you think of the amount you spend on the motor.

Where can you buy these cables from?

I would suggest call the salesman you have dealt with and they should send you one out in the post for free, as St Andrews is not just 5 mins away from dundee by your location.

I bought from the same group and was provided both, as i was asked about phone type ect. If they dont, as it has been mentioned on a few other threads let them know your disapointment in not being provided the correct cable and not being provided the correct information on handover to allow yourself to enjoy your new car and that you will reflect this in the after sales questionnaire that you will be sent /emailed to fill in. As there is a whole section about handover in the questionaire. Why should you pay them another 30-40 quid at the end of the day

So finally picked her up, absolutely love it!!

Love Monsoon......enjoy the car

I'll get some better photos when it isn't hammering down with rain!! But have to say the Quattro in this weather is a definite win, had a little play about with an Astra VXR, he didn't stand a chance to say the least.....

Unfortunately for all the S3's "understated looks" it still attracts attention from people wanting a go. Guess if you like you cars you will know that it's an S3.

I had a little drag against a Corsa VXR at some lights last week - his face was a picture when I gave him a little wave bye bye and then I was about 2 car lengths in front. I let him over take me at the end of the road as just don't need to prove anything else. That's what I love about the S3. Obviously if I come up against a 911 I know my place.

I'm loving that all our cars on this thread are starting to come through

I would have loved to have had an s3 instead of the tdi. However I covered 64k in the last 2 1/2 years in the last a3 so I had to use head over heart. I had a look at the 184 tdi 4wd prices and spec. But they only came with an s-tronic box which I would hate. So in the long run the plain tdi made sense. Yes, the S3 at trade in may have head its value more due to its residual value. However, the running costs would be more.

I think you will be surprised how well you would get on against a 991 Carrera S off the mark but one around 100 then yes it would pull hard away. 911 Turbo then I would bow out and admire them :applaus:

I used to love surprising all sorts of exotic cars with my TTRS stage1 :racer: even motorbikes off the line had to work hard!

Oh BTW wills_1990 gratz on the lovely looking motor, that was my choice in colour at first but was swapping between monsoon and estoril on a daily basis. Love the HB look too. Hope you enjoy and give us some updates asap. Just out of interest was it a week 20 build?

My S3 has now arrived at the Dealer and I have arranged to collect it next Friday. It has taken 10 weeks from placing the order to taking delivery. Pretty happy with that. Next week will be a bit of drag mind!

Thanks Chimp, I'm loving the colour.

It was a week 19 build. Think I am the last of the BW19's to pick up but I'm not 100% sure...

For those of you with your cars. Does it look to you as if the hubs and inner disk have already been painted silver?

Yes, but don't expect it to last long like that. I'm going to get mine painted with smooth Hammerite but haven't got round to asking a local Audi / VW specialist to doing it.

This is a "Dacromet" coating used by the supplier, to stop it corroding/rusting while in transit to the factory, and during storage.
It won't last long.

Picked up a week ago today with a BW18.

It's a cracking thing!!

Anyone here on BW 20 and have an idea of when they're getting their cars? My dealer says it's likely to be the end of June, however loads of BW 19s here have already got theirs! Gonna speak to CS on Monday, but I hope I haven't got to wait that long! It's killing me!

Mine was originally build week 20, but was moved forward to BW19 and is ready for delivery to me on Monday. I'm in Sweden though so I guess the delivery times might vary a bit.

Well I went for pickup today and the sun was shining so was lovely. Saw the car at the front of the dealership (they don't have pick area facilities).
Walked around the car to have a nice look at the Estoril Blue in the sun and noticed the whole car was covered in swirl marks!!! :keule:

All along the passenger side facing the sun it was so evident my 10 year old niece noticed it without us prompting it..... The salesman came out smiling and saying nice isn't it and your happy etc and I said no and that asked what monkey with a sponge cleaned the car after PDI.

Well the comedy began with "cant see it", to as that's what they normally go out like, to the factory must have done to if you don't like it reject the car !!!!!! all within about 10 minutes...

He went and talked to a manager which wasn't the main man and they just said not even coming out to say reject it if your not happy.... After 15 minutes more a tantastic manager came looking like some "Essex boy" sorry if I offend peeps from Essex but his head bobbed around for bit and saying that it's not that bad etc....and wasn't bothered at all.

The feeling I was getting was there was something amiss about the whole car, either the pdi clean was a comple F up or it's been hit resprayed and tried to cover it up due to the immediate reject the car offer as they thought they might get away with it but if they don't they will sell it to someone else.

I suggested a few options one being that they pay for a full detail from a professional detailing outfit which didn't go down to well at first or they can keep the car!

The reluctantly have agreed to give me a temp car they will take it to the bodyshop for a paint measure to see if it has been painted and then we will agree on a detailer to carry out the paint correction. If after that it's not good enough then I will reject the car.

Suffice to say I am not happy after waiting so long, and my original March/April allocation being given away once I paid the deposit. But to top the whole problem was the attitude and way I was treated infront of my g/f and brother.... Premium brand but not premium service.

It's a shame as the car looked amazing and all the right bits on it but the paintwork was just rubbish.

So sorry to hear about your experience. I really feel for yòu as know how exciting it is after waiting for it.

Sounds like it's been washed by the normal service wash guys before delivery to you. It does vary dealer to dealer - mine (Salsibury) have a separate guy that does the PDi wash. No brushes used which is I suspect what's caused your swirl.

Mine was in the showroom with sun shining on it through the glass and spotlights - no swirl.

To be fair, if they have got a switched on body shop they will be able to sort this soonish. Had a similar experience with a Polo GTI a while back and it was sorted the following Monday.

Good luck with it

I won't reveal until the car comes back just in case but, Ricky Lambert wont be buying one from here anymore ;-)

Had to google that but I get it!

Hope you get a satisfactory resolution, in te meantime have fun with the rally car they've lent you...

Just spoke to CS, although mine was BW 20, it only finished build in BW 22. Next two days, it's getting ready for shipping, the 10-15days after that... Argghhhh probably won't see it til the end of the month!! This is KILLING me :(

Mine was BW 22, was built BW 21, been sat at Emden for a week now.

Sent my dealer a text for an update but no reply!!

All updates I am getting are from Audi CS.

I can't help but feel the dealerships are your best friends until you pay a deposit, then any phone call regarding your order is a hassle and an annoyance. Dealing with CS keeps your pride in tact and stops you feeling like a nuisance. Shame really

Agreed, when you are paying £36k for a car, is it too much to ask for updates re delivery!!

I think that Audi Dealers are too far up their own ***** to care about the customer, as you say deposit down customer care = switch off mode!
