I took my daughter to Elsecar VW show on monday and when i returned to my car i saw a few of the local ar5eh0les messing with my car... one was unscrewing the arial , one trying to peal a sticker off it and a big lad looking through the side window.
I said " oi, get away from my car" to which the reply was laughter and they walked away...
I was angry and upset to be honest, i was alone with my 3 year old daughter and was faced with that!
I then got up to go to work the following morning to find... the rear quarter glass smashed and screw driver marks around it!
radio... untouched
Ipod... untouched
both in glove box but still in the car.
Strange that one of the idiots the day before is the local bin ban so knows where i live...
I contact the police... For the second time in as many weeks i get nothing other than " right, your crime reference number is ..."
so they have and are doing ****** all.
Ive taken the car to a bodyshop at my expense and am stuck without a car.

Bad times mate but sadly a reflection of the times we live in... seems the youth of today have no respect of other peoples property...

There was a similar incident a while back where I live... the local chinese used to keep asking the local kids to move as their loitering was concerning customers and 'someone' took it out on a car owned by one of the restaurant owners big time... every panel had massive circular scratches on it... it was trashed...

Whats worse of course is if you had caught them in the act and challenged them it would just have made things worse and its not like you can use any level of force to protect yourself or your belongings as it will just end up falling back on you..

Its proper sh*ite dude...

<tuffty/>

that sucks big time, sorry to hear :-(
the worst ive had with my Audi was last week when someone wrote clean me on the bonnet, thankfully it was relatively clean anyway so there was no scratchy stuff there.
on my old escort though someone prised the top of the door out to try and get in but their arms were too short to get to the lever to unlock the door.
they're the scum of the earth and need a damn good hiding :box::asskicking:

Sorry but I wouldnt leave it there. Nothing would get done. maybe its just me but I think you should fight fire with fire

I don't know how you contained yourself when you returned to your car and you saw the yoots doing things to your motor!

I would have totally lost it and I'm sure it would have ended with at least 1 of emergency services being called out.

So did they actually take anything or attempt to take anything from the car?

Even more annoying you think you may know who it could be!

Good luck in getting it all sorted and I hope the scumbags get caught or Karma plays it's part

Get some Northern Ireland gloves (padded knuckles) and balaclava's. People like this are generally weak by themselves and give me some old fashioned corrective discipline.

Total scum mate really makes me ****** hearing s**t like this and the old bill are useless and I don't blame people for taking the law in the there own hands.

Barstewards, good call on keeping calm Paul,I would have done the same as you had your daughter with you.

where did you park at elsecar paul?
being quite a small meet, and the standard of car VERY high, i would have thought anyone seen tampering with someones car wouldnt have got away with it for long given the the enthusiasts that go and have huge respect for eachother and their cars.
This is probably local yobs taking advantage of what comes to town.

good to see they did **** off in the end and you and your daughter were safe tho.

really sorry to hear this paul! but massive respect for you for holding your cool around your daughter.

Hope the scumbags get caught, im sure a few of us on here would be more than happy to set them straight with you...

That's **** mate! I had some twats steal stuff of my car. It's sad that they'd do that but you did the right thing as you was with your daughter. Her safety was the most important! But those ****ers need to be locked away!!!

Thats disguisting!!! Premeditated if they came back to your car when you were home.

My thoughts are an eye for eye. Mess with my car I mess with your knee cap!

That's crap mate and one of the reasons I don't like attending car shows. It's a very slim chance something like this would happen at any meet, however, it's happened before and will happen again.

We all go to shows thinking we are meeting people of a very similar mindset so will not take precautions we may at home, such as removing the stereo fascia, setting the alarm etc. Yet these are the sorts of places the SCUM of the earth will go to and see what's readily available.

Personally, if you know the bloke, have a word, I would. If not, leave it be and if it does happen you have your handy dandy crime reference number and can tell the Police "I told you so" :( rather than them being proactive, they've always being reactive.

Absolute scum of the earth, and the law is so ineffective it's a joke, a good old fashioned kicking is all these scumbags understand sadly, a friend of mine whose a former Royal Marine and caught 5 scrotes trying to have it away with his M3 and dealt with them is true bootneck fashion, and then called the cops, aparrently the phrase to use is "i was in fear for my life officer so I defended myself" the cops were most accomodating.

...and a Northern Ireland baseball bat (like the normal wooden ones but kitted out with 6 inch nails - I'll leave the rest to your imagination).

my wife at glance didnt like your comments coming from belfast her self but i had a chuckle which resulted in me been in the dog house as stormed off to bed i ****** hate this time of the month! :S

This is why I tar everyone with the same brush and trust no **** when it comes to my motor. I'm like a Harry Enfield character twitching at the curtains and poking my head out the door everytime I hear a noise.

Where do you park your car?

Garages can be rented for less than £20 a month in most counties, might be a worth while investment.

Well I know why you didn't kick off, having your daughter with you. But I unfortunately have a really short fuse which has landed me in front of the magistrates before and a few nights in the cells so I think you did the right thing.

if you know one of them though then I would say as sport Quattro did as I can vouch for the phrase " I feared for mine and my partners life" getting you off with the police ! Do him when he's on his own. :)

i hope you get it sorted mate and its not too costly , it's a foooooked world we live with some real scumbags in it .....

Have lived in Northern Ireland for 42 of my 50 years, with the psychological scars to prove it. Sorry you're in the dog house.

And penises like yourself who think violence is the answer deserve to be strung up too.

Have a ****ing word with yourself man, you've been in court for your aggression in the past so you should have learnt that it isn't the answer.

****** hell, what the **** is wrong with the human race.

Jaardo you know nothing about my circumstances or why I was in court. So keep your opinions on this matter too yourself please!
I got found not guilty on all counts actually, the only reason it went to court was because I was fighting semi-pro and competing at club level at the time so the police deemed that enough to question my version of events.

And what I was trying to say really was violence isn't always the answer as my short temper has gotten me into trouble do it was a good job the op walked away as he had his daughter with him too.

calling someone a penis on a forum is really immature too, especially as my post wasn't aimed at you. I don't need to look at myself at all.....

I suspect what most people have said in response to this thread is 'not' what they would personally do. It's a sad fact that the human race is all about injustice. What happens to those who obey the law, pay their taxes and do what is right every day of their lives. They get f**ked by a**holes and the justice system. Sorry for the OT comment.

Come on dearest, we all know violence is never the desirable outcome in any situation and we all want to get along happily if circumstances permit. Regardless of your previous you just recommended he stealthily kick their ****...Joking or not they aren't wise words for an antagonised man who has had his pride and joy vandalised.

Maybe I'm riding my moral horse a bit high, but it isn't good news for anyone. Especially coming from somebody who knows what it can get you.

yeh I suppose,

it actually winds me up though, even when it isn't my car and hasn't happened to me because it just shows the complete lack of respect certain ****heads have for other people's property.

I mean I'm not rich by any shake of a stick , but everything I have, I own and I earnt it..... Why do other people have to mess with that by either stealing or vandalising someone's pride and joy?

you were hacked off the other week because of a gritter jaardo lol ........

Jardo put yourself in this situation, imagine your anger. Do you happily just swallow the repair bill an hope it doesn't happen again!

Obviously there's a lot of people on here that are brave behind their keyboards saying what they'd have done but a the end of the day if your thinking of messing with a group of lads who don't care about people possessions and know where you live, you might want to think again before starting a war.

Might be worth investing in some CCTV so you have some hard evidence if it ever happens again. Obviously If this type of thing does happen again then I migh be time to take things into your own hands.

Lol after much mature deliberation jaardo I thought we concluded violence isn't the answer :) .......... Though having a gritter dirty your car up in the back end of MARCH is a joke!

im seriously considering CCTV at my house now before my new 8V a3 gets delivered, we hear more and more stories of vandalism to cars these days.

That is exactly what I would do, for fear of being a future target.

Protecting your property is one thing, planning to do someone in after the event is not my idea of fun.

Do what you like, I am obviously of no use to this thread. I do however share your anger.

Hate ****s who do this ****, makes my **** boil so bad times paul.

As for jardo on his trojan moral high horse hahaha

Don't get me wrong I'd be ****** scathing but I'm not the type of person who'd be able to go after someone after the event. Especially not over an old car, but probably if it was an attack on my family.

Anyway, unless you do want to go rogue and windmill into a gang of youths your options are pretty limited. Police are spread pretty thin these days like most local government departments and they don't even have the troops on the ground let alone the people to chase up these kind of disturbances. The only thing I can think of is to get video footage if I happens again.

A mate of mine was terrorised by a neighbour over a 7 year period and has just managed to get him evicted after compiling footage and dropping a DVD off to the police.

Lol at going rogue and windmilling westy! PMSL. Just picturing a certain Dennis pennis video ........ Anyone know of it?

"if you've got a set of keys, make them count" lol

Seriously though it can be very intimidating dealing with these kinds of scrotes especially when they know where you live and you have young kids.

Thanks for the replies folks...
I lost this thread to be honest. That and i lost all heart in the car.
I got it back yesterday ( second body shop) so hopefully i will start to feel the love again.
My daughter was the reason i held back and... is the same reason i will not fight back this time as it will be too obvious and trouble will no dout follow me home to the family home.
As a result of this and the ipad theft a week or so before im heavily out of pocket.
If the only responce form the police is " your crime reference number is ..." nothing will ever change,
I used to be proud of what i had worked hard to own, Now im just scared to ever show it.

Totally understand this comment but you will grow out of it mate....believe me - it will just be a little memory in the back of your head that you want to forget!

I've had a few unplanned incidents where the culprits were never caught.....

One of them was parking outside my local Tesco express - not even 5 minutes in the shop and I came out to find my car needing about £2ks worth of damage :( No note left...no wtinesses....no CCTV.

I had to foot the bill myself and I didn't go to that Tesco for many months- I ended up caving in and now use it again but am very wary when I'm in the shop.

You will find that love again - most probably once you've washed it and seen how shiny the new paints looking - the noggy blue looks so nice in the sunshine after a good cleaning session :)
